The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Sport, reference CDB2111.BA0054, is a steel automatic chronograph for someone who wants racing heritage in an everyday watch. The Carrera takes its name from the Carrera Panamericana road race and has carried TAG Heuer’s motorsport spirit since 1963.
A 42 mm case, 14.2 mm thick, pairs fine-brushed and polished steel with a fixed blue ceramic bezel. On the brushed blue dial, three silver azuré counters sit in a tricompax layout beside silver numerals, and Super-LumiNova hands keep the time easy to read in low light. Pushers shaped like car pistons nod to motorsport, while the H-link steel bracelet can be resized at home.
Inside is the in-house Calibre TH20-00, visible through the sapphire case back, with an 80-hour power reserve that covers a weekend off the wrist. Besides the date, the chronograph measures to a quarter second and counts up to 12 hours, and 100 metres of water resistance makes it fine for swimming.
